The Golden Ring - A Christmas Story was inspired by a wonderful and sentimental tale my grandmother recounted to me one morning as she reminisced about a special childhood Christmas memory. This Christmas book is a bestseller, and has received international recognition. It has been featured on network radio and television, as well as in dozens of newspapers and magazines, such as Family Circle, which published a 9-page condensed version of The Golden Ring in its holiday issue.
It is just days before the Christmas of 1918 in Meyersdale, a picturesque township nestled in the dense snow-covered mountains of western Pennsylvania's coal country. Anna, an idealistic nine-year-old, has an especially close relationship with her father, Joseph; a hardworking engineer on the B&O railroad. One of Anna's most precious possessions is a golden ring that was given to her on her ninth birthday by her parents. A series of puzzling dreams are shared by Joseph and Anna about Jesus, and the giving and receiving of a ring. These visions in the night mystifies them both.
